Following our passions

Hi were on the road a chilly morning ,as we meander to CoffS Harbour passing the ubiquitous Big Banana ,making our way up to the Orana State Forest ,to catch a breathtaking look at the Sealy Lookout Sky Pier .It is a modern day engineering feat ,the pier reaches out over the forest hanging in space about 30 meters ,overlooking the coastline and the surrounding areas of Coffs ,looking all the way out to Mutton Bird island and to its little brother island ,it makes for a memorable visit. There is also an exciting tree climb, love to try it but maybe another time,as you return down the road stop in and check out the farmers roadside fruit stall ,lovely avocados ,apples ,and seasonal grown produce .We make our way to check out Mutton Bird Island and stop for lunch at the fish co op,try the marlin ,no bones and a nice texture to the flesh ,and the prawns are to die for .After we satisfyed our grumbling stomachs we made our way to the Island a brisk stroll on the breakwater ,spying schools of good size fish playing in the waves ,so nice to stroll in the sun ,keeping us warm as the wind whistled by .Coffs has certainly reinvented itself from the primary banana growing city ,the marina is well worth a visit ,if we had more time we would stay few more days to explore the new face of Coffs ,but we will return another time .By for now Pete and Lou
